CHILDREN

CHILDREN

We have a vibrant Sunday School for children nursery to age 12. Children stay with their families during the worship service until the sermon begins, and then they break into groups.

Our classes are vibrant and joyful, yet serious, as we work to instill God’s Word in our children’s hearts. We even teach a brief lesson in the nursery. Parenting is one of life’s most challenging and rewarding tasks, and as an extended family the church wants to come alongside parents and give whatever help we can.

We also want to give children plenty of opportunities to exercise their budding gifts, so we encourage them to participate in worship and other activities of the church.

PRAYER

PRAYER

Sharing time, after our fellowship meal each Sunday (around 12:15). This is part fellowship/discussion group and part prayer meeting. Topics range from casual to life threatening, and we laugh or cry together accordingly. We take notes on the meeting and send out to everyone to help us all grow together.

Wednesday night prayer, 7 to 8 pm, Hilde Watson’s house. We sip tea and share praises and requests for half an hour and then pray for half an hour. We read aloud the missionary updates that Darlene sends out each week so our missionaries get prayed for. We also sometimes review requests from the sharing time report and pray for those as well. Currently we offer the prayer meeting through zoom as well.

Men’s prayer, Saturday morning, 7:30 to 9 am, at the church. We share praises and requests for about 45 minutes then pray for the remaining 45 minutes. Virtually everyone in the fellowship gets prayed for at some point. Some of the men to go Merk’s for breakfast afterward.

BRUNCH

BRUNCH

Our fellowship meal is not a potluck, so come enjoy a good meal pressure-free. We have a half dozen teams or so who take turns providing the meal, giving them built-in fellowship even in the preparation and a chance to bless others with their culinary skills. Definitely a central part of our church life!

WORSHIP TEAM

WORSHIP TEAM

Over the years we’ve put in much effort and prayer figuring out what a worship team should look like. We continually search out tasteful music and lyrics, solidly biblical, drawing from old and new. But we also think beyond just music, working to integrate music, prayer, preaching, and response to the preaching in a service that is truly worshipful. We welcome your participation and encourage you to use your God-given gifts to build up others.
